The Nissan Patrol – Knows No Boundaries
The Nissan Pathfinder is perfect for an intrepid expedition to distant valleys and rocky hills or exploring suburbia. Fusing powerful 4×4 characteristics with tarred road performance, its bold styling packs a punch wherever it goes.
Superb handling, immense power and cruise control complements superior comfort and versatile interior space – all within the body of a 4×4. The Pathfinder’s intimidating stance and all-round independent suspension allows it to be true to its roots as a powerful sports utility vehicle. Its 4.0 litre V6 and 2.5dCi inter-cooled turbo diesel engines both offer impressive acceleration, power and torque.
Another major advance developed by Nissan which will entirely shift your horizons is the intelligent ALL-Mode 4×4 electronic four wheel drive system, which gauges the road and driving conditions. From this, it will transfer the perfect amount of torque to the wheels, taming the roughest terrains and intimidating anything in your path.
There’s a choice of transfer settings between two-wheel drive and four wheel drive. The proactive and reactive ‘Auto Mode’ manages the torque spread form RWD to 50/50% front and back for better traction, depending on road conditions. The 4Hi mode provides a constant 50/50% torque spread for light off-road driving while the 4Lo mode offers maximum power and traction due to a low range ratio. The 4Lo mode is only for serious off-road conditions.
As with all other Nissan vehicles, the Nissan Pathfinder has been built with safety and security features at the forefront. ABS with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) ensures minimum stopping distance. Dual front airbags, side curtain airbags and thorax airbags along with side impact bars ensure the safety of its occupants in the event of an accident.
For comfort and convenience on those long trips, the Pathfinder comes equipped with cup holders, cruise control, front climate control and rear air conditioner a drive computer, BOSE audio system and steering mounted audio controls, once again proving that roughing it doesn’t necessarily mean you have to let go of the luxuries if you own a Nissan Pathfinder.
